The ballbearing-equipped electric motor and handpiece along with the solid cast iron tripod base with heavy-duty double wheel swivel casters make these machines the rugged standard of the industry.

All single speed flexible shaft machine models are available with a choice of speeds.  The available speeds are 1725rpm or 3450rpm (certain models have the 1140rpm option – contact customer service). 

All machines are available with a choice of electric wiring schemes to fit your particular electrical requirements.  The most common is 115volt -1 phase.  This is the standard outlet setup in a home or shop.  All machines can run on this electrical service but the 1-1/2 and 2 horsepower models will draw enough electrical current to require that a dedicated line be used.  We can build any machine with 220volt- 1 phase or 220volt- 3 phase or 440volt -3 phase electrical service if your situation requires it.  There is no additional charge for this service.  Optional overload protective switches are available by special order.

Single speed flexible shaft machines are available configured 4 different ways:

Floor              The most popular model.  Constructed with a cast iron base with 3 cast iron legs with double Wheel casters for in-shop use.  It rolls easily – even over rough surfaces and with the flexible Shaft positioned at 4ft high it is the easiest to use for most applications.

Bench            This model is designed for use on a workbench or tabletop.  It has a flat plate without wheels to allow it to be set on the bench surface.  It can be clamped or bolted down for even greater Security.  This model takes up no floor space but offers the same function as the floor model

Overhead      This model is made to be suspended over the work area by either a conveyor or an Overhead hook.  It comes with a large diameter eyebolt attached to the yoke and takes up No bench or floor space.  It is the best choice for small work areas.

Skid              This model is the simplest, most compact, lightest Flexible Shaft Machine configuration.  The electric motor is attached to simple base assembly consisting of 2 “sled” runners and a straight carry handle.  It fits easily in the trunk of a car and can be moved around the jobsite or even on scaffold to allow access to tight areas.  It has all of the functionality of the other types in a portable package.

Custom          On the odd chance that one of our standard Flexible Shaft Machines does not fit you requirements we offer a custom design and build service.  We can engineer and construct a Flexible Shaft Machine to your specifications.  This may involve special motor requirements, special Flexible Shaft materials, or custom mounting designs.
